Training Day - Chester Beatty Library - Dublin May 27th 2017


Our second Irish training day for The Enquiring Classroom project will take place on Saturday May 27th at 11AM. Please see below the days agenda and some of the key learnings. This training day will be delivered by Prof. Aislinn O'Donnell and Dr. Patricia Kieran. 


Key Learnings

  • Observe and imaginatively respond to objects in the Hunt collection
  • Appreciate the complex relational nature of ancient Egyptian traditions surrounding death and the afterlife
  • Discuss links between ancient and modern rituals and beliefs and values
  • Playfully explore the role of ritual in everyday life/ Understand and experience the practice of philosophical enquiry as a community.
  • Reflect on stimuli from the CBL collection and generate philosophical questions for discussion
  • Distinguish and articulate beliefs and values that are of importance to participants
  • Note challenging moments and compile a little book of Stuckness and Perplexity
